Yes. It is awesome that an 18yr old female sent a 5.14d sport route. I said this to Maxwell the other night at the gym and he called it to my attention that Beth Rodden is out there putting up 5.14c first ascents on trad. Mind you, Sasha pinkpointed the route, because the draws were already set. And Beth had to place gear, in a crack, that no one has ever climbed before. That means no chalk, not knowing if her gear will hold, especially if she takes a fall, and taking the time to not only clip the rope into the draw, but also set the gear. And her first ascent has never been repeated…
To clarify: I am happy for Sasha. I just think there are other female climbers out there who need some credit.
